Power-plant piping visual inspection
Distributed assets. Connected progress.
Power plants and large industrial sites · field teams
Distributed assets. Connected progress.
- The field challenge
- During power piping inspections, long routes and scattered points make visible findings hard to track between shifts.
- A clearer way to work
- EPOVIS connects assets, field images and open issues for Web review and follow-up.
iOS
Capture on location, record visible issues and collect follow-up evidence.
Web
Review area progress, track open items and prepare handovers.
Scope and limitsVisible surface inspection only. Not a replacement for NDT, statutory inspection or safety certification.
What should we inspect?
Document visible piping conditions along an agreed route: accessible surfaces, connections and contextual images. Define coverage and access constraints before interpreting a finding.
How should a pilot work?
Agree safe access, representative pipe sections, lighting, permitted capture conditions and the reviewer. Never change site safety procedures to obtain a photo. Evaluate the chosen scope before extending the route.
What should the team review?
The inspected location, images, observation and unresolved follow-up for the next shift. Visual evidence does not establish internal wall thickness or replace NDT, pressure tests or statutory certification.
Inspection evidence traceability
Find the source behind a finding.
Repair and independent reinspection
Separate “repaired” from “verified”.
Quality management and shift handover
Give the next shift a clear next action.
Start with one real challenge.
Your equipment, inspection standard and current bottleneck are a useful starting point.
